How to Defend the Iso Run Play

The Iso Play is probably one of the most popular and common running plays in football. It’s a power running game coming straight at you. One of most frustrating things is that if you can’t stop it, most of the time the opponents keep running it, keep running it, keep running.

We are going to have the iso of play against the 4-3 defense here. With the Iso play we changed some of the things that we did with the iso in the past. Even if you look in our 4-3 eBook I’m going to show some different things that we’re doing now in defending the Iso play. But a long time ago we defended the iso plays.

Not in the 4-3 but another defense is been defended the Iso that way.Turning it back to the inside I think if you look at the old 50 defense is probably more common way to defend the Iso to the outside half to the Iso back. Turn the ball carrier force the ball carrier either bounces back inside, we got linebacker help or bounce at the outside. We got another linebacker coming up to field play.
