This is another video clip from our August 10, 2012 Web Clinic. We were looking at Alex’s Cover 3 package and how to adapt it to defend a Spread Offense. We were talking specifically to coaching Youth Football, but the principles apply anywhere.
In Cover 3, the weakness is if you get four receivers running vertical. There are a couple of ways to defend that and we’ll look at them here. We actually go back into this topic in the August 14, 2012 Web Clinic and I will add some of that discussion in the future.
