Why Do You Run Your Defense?

A couple of months ago, I sent out a request to Football-Defense.com subscribers to fill out a short survey. Over 100 coaches responded and we got a nice snap shot of what the readers here are doing with their defenses.

3 Reasons to Use a Football Wrist Coach for your Defense

We have all seen, and many of us have used, a wrist coach. They are everywhere on football teams running “Check With Me” systems and the Spread offense. But a wrist coach can also be a valuable too for your defense.

The days of huddling up with your Mike Linebacker standing out in front calling a play are gone. Team Building During the Season

During camp we all do great things to build team unity. We eat together, we may go to a camp together, we have social functions together. Not to mention that we sweat and bleed together on the field for two weeks.

But camp comes to an end, and sometimes so does our team building. We’re never as unified as we are the day Two-a-Days come to a close.How do you keep that team building during the season? Defending Counter Trey

The Counter Trey may not be as popular as it once was, but the principles of defending the play are still important for your defense. The play relies on your Linebackers being a step slow because of the counter action and a strong kick out block on your Defensive End.
